Notes

Contents:

• AN EXTREME RARITY: Test Pressing of a Telarc Direct-to-Disc analog recording never released commercially
• The auctioned D2D Test Pressing might be one-of-a kind — the only LP of this D2D content in existance
• Recording made at the same session as Telarc D2D 5036 (Great Organ at Methuen Hall Vol 1) and intended to be Volume 2
• Serious Telarc collectors, aware a D2D master was cut at this recording session, were unaware a Test Press was made
• Auction Includes: D2D Stereo Telarc Test Pressing, made in Germany, supplied in a non-Telarc album cover
• Intended catalog number: Telarc D2D 5037 — (Test Pressing Deadwax S1/S2: 5037A T1/5037 BT-1)
Condition: This test pressing visually appears in pristine NM condition—beautifully glossy without a sign of ever being played. This is a gorgeous looking record with rich gloss and plenty of deep & wide grooves pressed into (what appears to be) virgin vinyl.

Info:
This is a fabulously UNOBTAINABLE Telarc test pressing of a D2D Michael Murray record that was never released commercially. This album was assigned catalog number Telarc 5037. While this album was in the development stage Telarc commenced a heavy push on their new toy, their digital LPs. Shortly thereafter Telarc dropped all of their analog projects & never returned to them. Somehow this one beautiful test pressing of Telarc 5037 was made.

During the recording session a Direct-to-Disc master was created & used to create this Test Pressing making the auctioned LP a Direct-to-Disc record and one of the 1st, if not the 1st and only, records pressed from the master disc—and should have extraordinary sonics. By nature commercially released D2D LPs are pressed in limited numbers. Test Pressings of D2D albums are extra rare. And the auctioned D2D Test Pressing, not even known to exist, is likely one-of-a kind!
